@possiblefurry The compressor unit on your car is located on the front passenger corner of the engine compartment, there is no simple fix for it, but if you are tired of the air suspension going out at random times, they do make a conversion kit to change it over to normal coil springs.

I have a 1995 LIncoln Continental with the air suspension. . . and i was told the air pump is shot so the entire car is riding 3 inches or so off the ground. Where is the pump, and is there anything i have to watch out for? Any “redneck” repairs i could do?

@w8tlftr4u That definetely sounds like an air spring leaking. The Mark VIII is similar but a little tougher, your car has independant rear suspension which gives much less clearance than the town car has. But the basic routine is the same, release the air, remove the clips, pull the solenoid, and remove the air spring.

have a 98 lincioln mark viii and the rear drops if I let it sit for days, thinking it has to be one of the air springs, is the install the same as this?

I was wondering why the air struts are so damn expensive! It is simple enough to fix.
