    @mooboocoo123 im not entirely farmiliar with that brand and im no expert at this itsjust a hobby of mine. . . but theres spl(sound pressure level) subs and sql (sound quality) subs. . if you just want loud as fuck and not so much sound quality go for spl. . . . if you want more sound quality go for sql. . . so to answer your question get both. . . higher wattage subs and amplifier. . . for subs go for a dual voice coil so this way its easier to match the amp to get it to either 2 or 1 ohm

    @mooboocoo123 wire them with as little resistance as possible. . . if your amp and subs can handle it try wiring them down to 1 ohm. . . thats the least resistance your gonna get which will deff help

    @theprofessor23 of course. RF is one of the finest brands in the market. You need a lot of cash for RF amps. . .

    @tyleristhecoolestint Yes, I’ve had an amp shutting its self down because it wasn’t getting enough power, once sanded clean it worked fine.

    @tyleristhecoolestint yeah, u dont want any non-metals interfering with the connection so it wud be a good idea to sand it down

    my amp is grounded to my trunk by an existing bolt. would it be a good idea to sand the spot to a shine where it is located?

    @SuBLiMeXGoLd Sony makes great stuff. . . . . except when it comes to car audio- the only thing I would buy is subs- which are pretty weak- but imo I think they hit nice n crisp- had 2 before and sold em bc need $ gonna buy another 12″ to put in my backseat. . . . trunks full

    THe only amp I had a real seriouse overheating problem with was my power acoustik 1600 watt- but that was due to incorrect wiring- i’ve seen friends with all sorts of goofy brands and most of them accually arn’t all that bad imo- I’ve got a boss right now and the power for the money made me buy it and the things really is great never even gets warm outlasted 2 kenwoods I’ve owned- unless u’ve had one fail you, you really can’t knock every other brand just bc you can afford the best

    @SuBLiMeXGoLd

    I disagree. . . by friend’s JBL subwoofer suddenly stopped working. He works with car stereo, so he is an expert in ICE. And he says “stay away from JBL”. So I’m gonna follow that.

    He uses Alpine, Pioneer and Blaupunkt now, and it sounds awesome!

    @TimpBizkit If you have enough cable to run the neg on your amp to your neg on your battery then go for it. Cuz thats basically all grounding the amp does, is return the power to the battery via the chassis of the car. But if you use a cable instead of the chassis, it should be better.
