Shit on wheels. . . no doubt about it.
@SSshane6d9
i heard many rumors as well, e. g. both your parents are men, you are a test tube baby, and you are remedial on a whole new level
wow! i want it!!! And GT 350 and GT 500!!! Supercar!!!
It seems like it. They rarely give American cars the credit they deserve.
there’s always gonna be horse power loss at the wheels due to drive train and weight of the car.
In 2011 Ford will becomeing out with a V6TT that will make 355HP and something along the line of 375pound feet of torque for the GT, just imagine what the GT500 will make. Can you say somehting along the lines of 600HP and that might be at the wheels. Believe me Ford will be steeping up there game in a huge way in 2011. I know ford was going to make a inline 4 Turbo for there explorers making 275HP. Making 25MPGs and 355 for the highest model engine.
Well no. It’s been recently renewed has shitton of power.
I sometimes even manage to do wheelies with it.
It has beaten quite a few mustangs before.
It probably lost all its power. . And as far as I know, the highest powered version was 620hp.
@tmat56 Agreed, the ZR1 is miles faster. The only thing that is the same about them is the plastic construction
.
@fedorkleber Not Richard he actually loves American’s haha.
Lol I never would have thought that The Hamster owned a Mustang! I thought they hated everything American on Topgear! Cool car though!
@thedevo01 too bad that wasnt the stock hp
Let’s face it. . my 670hp ‘69 Dodge Charger would eat this baby for breakfast.
i was responding to a zr1 fanatic
Hey einstein why the long face?. . . NO manufacturer rates their cars with rwhp. . .
good show
shoulda reveiwed a roush, steeda, or saleen mustang
I don’t believe the ZR1 is in the same class as the gt500 so why are you comparing?
In Europe all power figures are given as flywheel measurements, basically a good way of selling a car due to an apparent higher output. They can get these figures from a rolling road like this one and a computer does the calculations to make it a flywheel reading. However in this case, I believe this was a wheel reading and was not known by the TG team, pretty bad I must admit.
ppl keep saying the zr1 is fastest round the ring but it isnt the radical is and there are rumours that the zr1 time is fake and that it wasnt stock thats on us websites by the way the zr1 is a good car even clarkson likes it the so called bias yank hater its quick round the ring because of the long straights a tighter track and it wouldnt match the better handling ferraris and porsches its horses for courses
447hp on the wheels, 500hp in the engine.
Beacuse European cars that yoru talking about cost far more then the american Car. Your talking about high end European cars like Ferrari, Lambo among others. While your talking about everyday run of the mill american cars like the gt500 Mustang. Why not talk about a 599 vs a ZR1???? Cause on the track the ZR1 will win, or what about the Ford GTX????? Look at the rings lap times, you’ll see how american cars rate. Your a highly uneducated car guy. If you can even consider yourself a car guy.
Depends what you mean as a good car, good for the price range yeah. Good for a 911 price range no. Your comparing warermelons to grapes when it comes to price ranges. A 911 carrrera cost what $77,000 and thats for a basic model. When a GT500 cost $48,000 and thats fully optioned out.
They can figure it out. They just have never liked giving credit to americans for anything and with the clear success of the new mustang, they can’t say it’s bad so they’re just ankle-biting.
