I bought this at Amazon a few weeks ago and I’m very happy with it. It’s not going to blow the roof off your vehicle as-is, you’ll need to buy a separate amp and a sub woofer for that, but you get a lot of stereo for very little money. It has all of the features I was looking for and didn’t break the bank. Very nice sound, and I’m a musician and produce CD’s, so I know what I’m talking about. Very strong tuner, too. I bought this for an older van that I only drive on occasion, but this unit beats most of the factory units installed in new cars these days. If you’re looking for all the bells and whistles such as video display, etc, look elsewhere, but if you want a good sounding basic unit that will play your CD’s and MP3’s this is your guy. I also like the front panel aux input – a good place to plug your MP3 player or satellite radio, and not always found on a lower-priced unit. If you’re going to install it yourself, do yourself a favor and buy a premade wiring harness for your particular make and model vehicle, it will make things go much more smoothly. You can go to [. . . ] and get detailed installation instructions, along with photos, for most makes of cars. So have at it.

I decided to go cheap this time as my last two Pioneer decks were stolen out of my car with ease. For less than $80 this unit is well worth the price. The only gripes I have are the limited EQ and lack of low-pass/high-pass filters if you run a woofer/subwoofer setup. All in all, a great price for a solid Pioneer deck.

I bought this radio as an upgrade for my honda civic lx 2001 and it was just perfect. The moment i installed it i noticed the difference in sound quality and it was only the stereo powering the speakers. When i used a power amplifier it sounded even better. I have to admit this is NOT the most powerful stereo for a BIG audio system, but if you are like me that only want a quality music and very good sound inside your car, this should work perfect.

Pros: cheap, nice quality sound, RCA output for amplifier, aux and mp3-wav-wma etc support.
Cons: simple display (if the song name is long, it wont display it and it does not scroll on the screen), only one pair of RCA.
