Pioneer DEH2100IB SCD Receiver with iPod Control

When I buy the product Pioneer DEH2100IB SCD Receiver with iPod Control the description of the same, include the sequent: Includes front panel auxiliary input, USB/iPod input.

But when this arrive me, I’m disappointed, when I saw that the pioneer DEH2100IB SCD without the auxiliary in out USB/ipod input.
That’s for me is very disappointed , not just for the wrong description, just for the simple reason that I trust in amazon like a serious company and though when I buy something at amazon, what I see in the description is the same that goings to arrive me at home.

I expect for you like an serious company an answer explain me the reason about me situation.

    Waiting a quick answer

    Thanks

The Ipod controller is excellent, the only problem is that you have to browse artist by artist, so if you want to get to the Z you have to roll it down all over.

The stations do not tune well, and I have fixed the antenna cable several times!! It just doesn’t work and that’s why I am giving a 3 star rate.

I bought this stereo with high hopes that it would integrate with the iPhone. To be fair, it does NOT advertise iPhone compatibility. However, I’m posting this review for others like me trying to assess this based on customer reviews since some products that don’t advertise iPhone compatibility still are compatible. There is one review on this product in spanish (titled “Excelente”) that says, “. . . funciona perfecto con mi iPod touch 2g y con mi iPhone 3G” which means “. . . functions perfectly with my iPod touch 2G and with my iPhone 3G. ” So I thought that it would work on my iPhone 3G. It doesn’t. Either that person hasn’t updated their iPhone software, or they didn’t really test their iPhone.

The included iPod connector cord does connect to the iPhone BUT it only charges the iPhone. I got an error message immediately after connecting it, and it will not let me access the iPod on the phone. So you still need an auxiliary cable to play the songs on your iPhone’s iPod, which I did get and it works well. I bought this stereo on sale, saving $40 on it compared to the stereo that does work with the iPhone, but if the prices were equal or I had the extra money to spend I’d skip this one and go with the iPhone compatible one.

The stereo itself plays pretty well. I like the sleek interface & it matches my Honda CR-V interior nicely. I haven’t yet read the manual, which I plan to do because it’s not quite as user friendly as I’d hoped. I still hit a couple more buttons than necessary trying to get to the control I want. Hopefully that will change. For people without an iPhone, I’d recommend it. For the rest of us, I wouldn’t!
