@CJAEY i guess im just saying you get what you pay for. i mean this porsche is absolutley amazing, and the camaro on the other hand is made cheaply and is not engineered for balance and downforce.

I am just comparing stock vs stock. Sure it’s not in the “Fairness” argument but does the Camaro SS have balance like the GT3 RS does? No.

@CJAEY and your comparing it to the camaro because?. . . dont get me wrong, i absolutely love this car, but the camaro is way cheaper. plus with a few cheap parts you can easily be making 500 from the ss because of its massive displacement.

@CJAEY Trust me I’m not rooting for the camaro here but this car costs 6 times as much.

@CJAEY Isnt rly that much of a deal though. It’s not that the guys at Camaro can’t for their lifes do a more powerful engine with peakier power. They simply chose to do the car the way they want it. Cheap and simple. .

Im never going to own this car. . but ya know what? Im ok with that. It is my dream to own a 911 GT3, maybe even a RS and when and if that day ever comes it will be the best day of my life. But this 911, this GT3 RS 4. 0 sums up my love for cars as a kid. I just turned 18 right after this car was released and this Porsche is more than just another 911 to me. It is my childhood hero as far as cars go and will undoubtably remain an icon for me and my passion for automobiles.

@CJAEY Yeah, small detail: Camaro SS about $30,000 the GT3 4. 0 RS over $180,000. Sort of illustrates the law of diminishing returns, though.

The Porsche 911 GT3 RS is one of the 20 best cars of all time, undoubtedly!

@CJAEY true, but the camaro only costs $30k and is not meant to be a street legal race car.

GT3 RS 4. 0 , R8 GT , M3 GTS , M3 CSL . . . It’s so stressing such cool cars have limited production . Revs up if you want them unlimited , so the car makers see this !

@thugangel662 not to mention a great stinking supercharger which dulls throttle responses and covers up the exhaust note because all you hear is supercharger wine

2012 Porsche GT3 RS 4. 0 – 500hp with 4. 0 liter flat 6 = $185,000
2011 Camaro SS – 426hp with 6. 2 liter V8 = $30,995
NOOB

Yeah I have nothing against domestics in fact I grew up loving the Mustang since my dad owned a ‘66. In my opinion any car has potential with just ecu/tuning. I am just basically saying that Porsche engineers really know what they’re doing because 500ps from a flat 6 is just phenomenal. Even though their cars cost up to six figures that is haha

If Porsche were able to shoe horn this 4. 0l into the Cayman, with the accompanying suspension tweaks, the Cayman would just clean house. Mid engine is such a superior platform. But, the 911 series is much more the cash cow for Porsche. The 986/987 series are selling quite well, but the image of the 911 series as a killer car is what most look for. I’d take either, if the truth be known.

@CJAEY true and im not trying to be a dick just a point i love porsches and the they make better engines than most (all that power out of 4 liter flat six) . just trying to point out the difference in custom engine building which is what porsche does and a regular v8 stuck in everything chevy makes would love a gt3 but sadly i can only afford a v8 mustang. btw the knew ford 5. 0 with tuning make over 100 horsepower per liter and you can buy it for 6 grand

Well done Car. You were lagging behind EVO in quality of videos. But with this one you’ve really stepped up. More please. . .

I would love to have the 00:14 shot in higher quality as a desktop wallpaper. It is better than any official promo shot. The angle, the lighting, the sand . . . car porn and summer vacation feeling in one shot.

The thing that’s hit me the hardest watching all these GT3 RSs 4. 0 videos is the fucking soundtrack.
