Porsche 968 new car 1992 Review Special

This item was filled under [ Cars ]

Special Porsche 968 car review from 1992. Jeremy Clarkson reviews the Porsche 968 shortly before its launch on to the market in 1992. A look back at what made it great and not so great, including a dig at the 80’s. This was when Top Gear really was Top Gear, ie rubbish! ;)

I knew it!! I was waiting for him to mention the hp and finish the sentence with: “. . . in the world!” Love the 968, I had a white ‘94 and my dad had another ‘94 identical to the one above. I sold mine in 1998. He kept his until 2000 or so. I still regret selling mine :(

@mercedescl theres your first problem, you bought a dud, and took it to a big time porsche dealer!!! you cannot hope to own one of these cars unless you buy the best one you can afford, and find a good NON dealership shop to help you out. otherwise internet forums have endless information to source your problems. dont curse your bad experience on others, because you didnt know how to go about it.

@o8bit0hero yea hes a porsche hater hey. . . he even wouldnt give the new porsche 997 gt2 the credit it deserved. if you search clarkson reviewing the 944 turbo he has high praise.

This hobgoblin is out of his mind choosing that gay Jaguar over a Porsche.

Cool car, but I like the front look of the 944 Turbo/S2 better than the 968’s wannabe 928 front look. It would have been better if Porsche would have kept the 944 S2/Turbo look for this car too.

If I could afford it, for a new car I think Id take the MB sls. in the exige/boxster/cayman price range. . . the 370 is nice. . . . dont like the front end at all tho. The lotus evora is nice too. Tough call. Probably boxster spyder, or cayman s, the evora I bet would be hard to pass up now.

@mercedescl Yeah rear engine cars make no sense to me. Not a fan of 911’s. Everyone Ive ever met that owned a 993 didnt like it. Exige is pretty nice! Lotus aint as bad any more, they have toyota engines now. Dealer network is seriously lacking for sure. Dealer is important when you have a warranty. The boxster spyder is pretty sweet, caymans are cool too, Im a boost junkie tho, porsche never made them with boost, and never will. Thanks to the damn 911.
