I truly wish the domestic car makers made a better vehicle. But until then, I will continue to buy Toyota!! It seems to me that American auto makers focus more on “style” than “substence”. There are better looking vehicles than my Highlander, but mine will stay out of the shop and will always be there for me.

Highlander vs 4Runner is AWD vs 4WD.
    Different buyers.

toyota camry u talk about is the 2007 model and up where they gave camry the whole new design with new engine also, the new highlander now have 3. 5 liter also. This 2007 highlander is still base off the 2001 model. . . . not the new one so the engine is not new as in the 2007 and up camry

the toyota camry also came with a 3. 3L v6, same as the camrys twin , the lexus Es300. you probably have a newer carmy thats why is has a 3. 5L as toyota has discontinued the 3. 3L and now most of their v6’s have either a 3. 5L v6 or 4. 0L v6.
I think the 07 highlander was the last year with the 3. 3L before it was redesigned with the new engine.

Why is the engine in this car smaller than that of the Toyota Camry? As shown in the video, it has 3. 3L V6 Engine, whereas the Toyota Camry has a 3. 5L V6 Engine.

Does this mean that the Toyota Camry is stronger and has more power than the Toyota Highlander?

I have a 2001 limited with the V6, I love this car. Toyota makes such a good product. Anybody who would buy a domestic car should have their head checked. And yes its true, Hyundai is junk but still rates higher than ford or chevrolet. ford, chevy and the rest of these types (gm, merc, buick etc) are made fail shortly after the warrenty expires. My uncle worked for chrystler for 30 years and says they are “engineered to fail after a certain time ” this is how they sell parts. toyota is md 2 last

Unlike some(?) domestic brand?? All of domestic brands are junks. . . Now they don’t even compare Hyundai with any of domestic brands~~!! Even Hyundai is far better and is reliable than any of USA brands. . I had two experience of owning domestic and they are junks. . interior falls off as soon as warranty ends, ABS malfunction causes tail spin. . Stumping. .
Man you name it. . I find little buttons sharing with cargo vans and trucks. . No wonder they all going down. . Shitty cars USA brands. .

I purchased this recently and its terrific. I don’t buy car to boast myself as wealthy . . . . . but I put my family and my comfort ahead and highlander meets it exceptionally.

I love Toyota’s they have never let me down! Unlike some domestic brands I’ve purchased in the past! FYI “Mean”beanu, if people wanted to look wealth they would buy a Lexus! also owned by Toyota!

people dont buy the highlander to make people think there wealthy. They buy a mercedes, M3/M5 or something over $50,000 to make people think there wealthy.

Some people believe reliability and resale value is more important than flashy design. Personally, I prefer the Nissan Murano or Mazda CX-7 and others.
