    @AnUnidentifiedMale hybrid and electric technology has improved quite a bit in recent year,s but things that more improvement in engine effientcy would be
    ozone(03) and (0H) peroxide blended fuels, and where possible to make
    compound charger meaning trun by both the engine and exzuast presure
    woulhd make a large benafet in vapoirazion and air presure effecenty during
    combustion, although waste gate control might be problematic factor involved

    @xoquixxoqafxo actually that was 8 months ago that I posted that, now it gets 40. 2; I get 40. 2 now, plus my driving is 90% freeway at about 70; don’t be hatin on me because you losers can’t squeeze that much out of the pieces of crap you drive.

    @clubtc05

    Prius will win in a straight line unfortunately, I would root for the Honda but at least the honda destroys the pruis in the slalom and figure 8 test. Another indication that toyota is an old person car while honda builds cars that are fun to drive, btw fun to drive doesnt always mean drag race king its about balance and a willingness/eagerness to change directions

    @brobinson75

    bwahaha my ass it gets 40. 1 maybe when you are coasting to a stop with your foot on the brake loser. POS corolla belongs in the rental fleet. . . oh wait. . . it is. I’ve seen new ones with 5,000 miles with the check engine light on. . . Toyota’s latest products are cheaply made and poorly put together.

    @brobinson75 im with you on that one HOWEVER, the insight is just that bit more practical because of its hatch shape and (in true honda character) is more involving to drive than anything in toyotas current stable.

    I have a 2010 Insight and love it. I consistently get more mileage than the EPA ratings. Really I think the EPA is a bit biased toward the Prius.

    Good review in that you compaire not only pure mpg but everything else. The prius is good but its an old persons car, bland, dull drive and no ipod interface. the insight is sleek good looking, hanndles better and has usb. All that for $4000 less. Insight wins in my opinion.

    You’re right, because my 08 civic hybrid get 103 mpg going down hill, so it’s still way better than a corolla getting 40. 1 mpg going down hill. =-)

    YEAH RIGHT Your wack ass corrolla gets 40. 1 mpg, 40. 1 going down a hill????? those buzzy unrefined 4Cyl never doing it

    Ok, my non-hybrid ‘09 Corolla gets 40. 1 mpg for less money, so the point of the hybrid is what? One more MPG? More expensive car and more replacement of expensive batteries down the road. That’s alright, I’ll stay with gas;

    “It’s nimble and involving”? This is in stark contrast to what other reviewers have said when comparing it to the third gen Prius.

    Hm, so if I want to “channel my inner F-1 driver” I should go for a Honda Insight with a CVT with paddleshifts (just like on F-1 cars only with an eight of the horse power)? I guess I agree, if you set the bar at Prius. But maybe I should ease into this level of F-1 performance and start with something less sporty, say a big wheel or a tricycle; I understand that would be more fuel efficient too.

    You know what, I think I’d rather perform Harakiri, that’s Japanese too.
