M3 is available in coupe, cabriolet and sedan, BMW M5 as a sedan and universal, but M6 coupe and cabriolet. And also there is two Z4 M models. But if we take back to 80ties we can see that models of BMW M type where not so much. But we can&#8217;t say that BMW engineers and designers have did nothing because they made a BMW M5 cabriolet prototype which almost where started to produce, but at the last moment the producing was canceled.<span id="more-52"></span></p>
<p>The base was E34 generation M5. Muenchen&#8217;s engineers took of its roof, made stronger chassis and instead of four doors they set up two prolonged doors. An outcome &#8211; BMW M5 cabriolet prototype &#8211; was presented in 1989 at Geneva moto show. Even the price was defined for British market &#8211; 50000 British pounds.</p>
