With no car repair experience, can I take out and put in a new wiper motor by myself?

I’ve heard its easy to do, but I have no car repair experience. I drive a lincoln towncar 1991.

You may want to get a repair manual at an auto parts store; this will guide you thru the process
That is a much harder job that you realize. The wiper motor is up in under the dash, part of the dash needs to be taken off to install it. I certainly would not do the installation and I do some maintenance on autos.
You have a car from the 90’s. These are easiest to repair. Get the repair manual so you will know if you feel confident to do this yourself.
Yes you can do this by yourself.
Buy a Haynes or a Chilton manual and go from there, remember everyone started with no experience
Everyone that’s performed this repair/replacement will tell you it’s easy. What they don’t tell you is how they screwed up the job when they first attempted it. In auto repair, you learn from your mistakes. Remember, the wiper motor operates two wipers. That means that it has two arms and two sides. And you have a lincoln. And that too makes a difference. Because generally, a lincoln will not accept universal parts. You have to purchase a lincoln part, probably lincoln special tool, and lincoln installation instructions. I tell you all this because I’m the voice of experience. Bring the vehicle to a mechanic. Preferably a mechanic that’s not to busy. And watch him do his thing. When he’s finished, you can say to yourself, “geeze, I’m glad I didn’t try that”. Good Luck.
